Does a Cadillac key need a locksmith, or can I program it?

Why does my Cadillac fob suddenly have short range?

Almost always a tired CR2032 battery. Swap it before assuming the worst, since range and remote start are the first things to suffer on a weak cell. If a fresh battery doesn't fix it, the fob is failing.
