Keyless-entry remote — program it yourself
Infiniti’s standalone remotes sync onboard with the 6×-insert method — about 5 minutes, no tools. (This is for the separate keyless remote; a key with a chip that starts the car still needs an automotive locksmith.)
- Close and lock all doors using the driver’s-side power lock/unlock switch.
- Insert the key into the ignition and remove it 6 times within 10 seconds (do NOT turn it) — the hazard lamps flash to confirm programming mode.
- Insert the key and turn to ACC (accessory).
- Within 5 seconds, press LOCK on the first remote — the door locks cycle to confirm it programmed.
- For each additional remote, press LOCK within 5 seconds of the last. Turn the ignition OFF, remove the key, and test.
