GM’s onboard relearn — no tools, no dealer.
- Have a working key? Insert it, turn to ON (don’t start) ~5 seconds, OFF and remove. Within 10 seconds insert the new key and turn to ON — the security light goes out and it’s learned.
- All keys lost (~30 min): insert the new key, turn to ON. Wait 10 minutes until the security light turns off; turn OFF then ON. Repeat for a total of three 10-minute cycles, then turn OFF — programmed.
